[Albany views] [ca. 1902-1913]

Nine views of Albany, N.Y. from the 1910s, depicting events such as the 1909 Hudson-Fulton celebration, the New York State Capitol fire of March 29, and the flooding of the Hudson River on March 28-29, 1913. The collection contains one undated image of the Western Union Telegraph building on the corner of Broadway and State Street (this building was torn down in 1902 and replaced by the Albany Trust Company building); three images of the Hudson-Fulton celebration including 2 of marching bands parading down State Street in the vicinity of State and North Pearl Streets, and the Albany Trust Company building on the corner of State and Broadway festooned with American flag bunting; one image of smoke pouring out of the New York State Capitol during the fire of 1911; and four images of floodwaters in Albany, one of Hudson Avenue looking east, one of Maiden Lane looking west, one of Broadway looking south toward the intersection of State Street, and one of a boy and a dog watching men paddle a raft down Maiden Lane near the intersection of Broadway.
